Wired (HDMI)
Lowest latency, no Wi-Fi required, works in venues with hostile networks. The default for live shows.
Wireless (AirPlay)
Cable-free for rehearsals and installations. Watch for added latency if your scene is audio-reactive.
wired
HDMI via USB-C or Lightning.
The wired path is reliable, low-latency, and works in venues where the Wi-Fi is overcrowded or locked down.
- 1Pick an adapter that matches your device - USB-C for newer iPhones and iPads, Lightning for older iPhones.
- 2Run a standard HDMI cable from the adapter to the projector.
- 3Set the projector input to the HDMI port you used.
- 4Open easy-mapper and you should see the external display appear.

AirPlay
wireless
AirPlay when you cannot run a cable.
Best for rehearsals, fixed installs, or rooms where a cable would be in the way. Expect a small amount of added latency.
- 1Make sure the projector or its Apple TV is on the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
- 2Open Control Center on your iPhone or iPad and tap Screen Mirroring.
- 3Pick the projector or Apple TV from the list.
- 4Switch back to easy-mapper - the mapping canvas should snap to the projector resolution.
