About the app

What is EasyMapper Studio?
EasyMapper Studio is a projection mapping app for iPhone and iPad that turns a standard projector into a projection mapping rig. You build the map, layer shaders, and preview in real time directly from your phone or tablet, with no laptop in the chain.
Is EasyMapper Studio available on Android or desktop?
Not today. EasyMapper Studio is built for iPhone and iPad first. Android and desktop are on the roadmap, but we do not have a firm date.
Which devices are supported?
Any iPhone or iPad running iOS 15.1 or later that can output video to an external display, either over HDMI through an adapter or wirelessly with AirPlay.
Does EasyMapper Studio support more than one projector?
One projector per device. If you need more outputs, run EasyMapper Studio on multiple devices side by side.
Can I bring my own videos and images?
Yes. Import from Photos or Files and drop them into any scene. Loops, single frames, and short clips all work.
Who makes EasyMapper Studio?
EasyMapper Studio is built by Abhinav Bhardwaj, an independent developer. Support email is answered personally, usually within one business day.
Where did the name come from?
It started as a working title, easy mapping in your pocket, and evolved into EasyMapper Studio as the feature set grew. The name reflects projection mapping you can actually carry.

Setup and hardware

What kind of projector do I need?
Almost any projector with an HDMI input will work. The projector guide walks through brightness, resolution, and throw distance based on the kind of surface you plan to map.
How do I connect my phone to the projector?
Two paths. Wired: a USB-C or Lightning to HDMI adapter plus an HDMI cable. Wireless: AirPlay through an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible projector. The connection guide has the specific adapters we recommend.
Does it work with batteries or only on AC power?
The app does not care. As long as your phone, adapter, and projector are powered, you are mapping. Battery powered projectors play nicely with EasyMapper Studio for outdoor or guerrilla setups.
Can I map curved or irregular surfaces?
Yes. Since version 1.0.9 you can warp layers onto complex and rounded surfaces, add or remove corners on any shape, and use custom stencils from transparent PNGs.

Pricing and subscriptions

Is EasyMapper Studio free?
The app is free to download. Premium features sit behind an in-app subscription with a free trial. Check the App Store listing for current pricing in your country.
I paid for a subscription but it says I am not subscribed.
From the home screen, tap the icon in the top right of the app, then tap Restore Purchase. If that does not bring it back, email support@easy-mapper.com with your Apple ID and we will sort it out.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel EasyMapper Studio there. Apple has a step-by-step guide at https://support.apple.com.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds also go through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for the EasyMapper Studio charge. We do not have the ability to refund App Store purchases on our end.
